Description
If we observe carefully, we can feel the city's appearance that we have never noticed through the things we are accustomed to, and even savor the various interesting information distributed in the city. It could be the taste of a tea restaurant, enriching your taste buds; it could be the road sign number at a station, guiding you to your desired destination; it could be a bird you encounter by chance in the community, observing your every move. Every corner of the city hides a story, which makes us unconsciously connect with the land beneath our feet.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Funding Scheme - Inclusive Arts Project, funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, hosted the opening ceremony of its flagship event "More Arts Festival 2025" at the L1 Atrium and Art Gallery of the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) on February 15, 2025, and invited Ms. Lau Ho-yee, Deputy General Manager of Charities of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, and Mr. Chan Wai-wai, Commissioner for Rehabilitation of the Labour and Welfare Bureau, as the guests of honor. As one of the earliest inclusive arts festival brands in Hong Kong, the "More Arts Festival" has been promoting "arts inclusion" since 2010, aiming to showcase the positive impact of art on people with disabilities and social inclusion through works of different art forms (such as performing arts and visual arts).
As society and the concept of “inclusion” continue to develop, from 2022 to 2025, the “One More Arts Festival” will also extend its vision and focus to show the public the power of “participation” and “inclusion”. The theme of "More Arts Festival 2025" is "Things around us". Art participants of different ages, backgrounds, identities and abilities from the "Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Support Scheme - Inclusive Arts Project" shared their experiences, memories and feelings in this city through their creations, and together weaved the "various aspects of life" that belong to this city in the "More Arts Festival 2025".
